A Secret Place

The distractions of today

flutter away

as I take in this green eyed beauty

The trickling of spring water softly whisper

“the scales are now balanced within”

As dancing light begins to ascend

in flickering warmth again and again

in a space that has always been

that secret place

untouchable by men
